Amazing things happen with a positive mental attitude.
The Sunday night blues can be hard to shake.
We all want to run away sometimes!
Not go to work
But look..
Unless you actually ran away to a wifi abundant desert island yesterday, I’m going to guess you’re at work.
Naughty you!
Hope nobody sees you being positive and thinking for yourself over here….
I want to share 2 things today:
1) my minor life struggles last week
2) how I see YOUR world

MY MINOR STRUGGLES
Last week I worked a lot of hours, and I didn’t get much sleep.
My training suffered, I missed 2 workouts, I felt bad.
Work was tough, I felt a little stressed.
And, uh……that’s about it.
These are SMALL problems, right?
In the moment I was a grumpy arsehole and I did get stressed.
I’m human after all
So are you.
Let your daily troubles happen, respond to them, feel them.
But be prepared.
Expect bad things to happen, then look back and laugh - cue Marcus Aurelius quote:
"When you wake up in the morning, tell yourself: the people I deal with today will be meddling, ungrateful, arrogant, dishonest, jealous and surly. They are like this because they can't tell good from evil.”
HOW I SEE YOUR WORLD
Most days, I send out an email intended to wake you up from a lazy, unhealthy slumber.
I see the modern world as a place that is amazing, we’re so lucky to have all our technology, science, freedom and health.
BUT…
Modern life is far removed from what our bodies have evolved to do
I didn’t evolve to sit at a desk, neither did you.
Therein lies the problem:
We all want to live the modern way so we sit at our desks and do the work.
But our body NEEDS to live the ancient way - physical stress and exertion.
I believe we can combine the modern life with the ancient health by using OLD school strength training, healthy eating, and just as importantly - a great team of mates to do it with.
^^^ that’s what we do at RSG.
SUMMARY
So today, don’t get upset at other people.
This is the modern life/modern stress you have accepted - so OWN your day.
Next week, you’ll look back and laugh at this week’s struggles
