5 Mind Bending Fitness TRUTHS…
I’m sat in the pub a few years ago…
“I’m telling you guys, Ottawa is the Capital of Canada!”
They all disagreed.
Toronto, they said.
I was furious, I’d just bloody been to Canada!
But have you ever tried to argue a point when you KNOW that you are definitely right
…yet everyone around you argues the wrong answer?
When a group of people BELIEVE in the wrong answer…
Somehow their support of each others ignorance makes the wrong answer seem right.
Shit, just look at history…
people who only focused on the ‘agreed upon norms’ ended up thinking the world was flat!
I’m sure you’ve been in a similar argument with your friends so I don’t need to harp on about this
….it is annoying though, right?
Agreeing that a wrong answer is right DOESN’T make it right!
Yet this happens all the time in the ‘health and fitness’ world….
So let’s look at 5 mind-bending fitness truths that will transform your body if you take note
…Yet you probably think I’m wrong…
I’m gonna throw them at you here, then explain in detail later on…
These are TRUTHS, remember :-)
1) EATING MORE FOOD WILL MAKE YOU LOSE BODY FAT
2) RUNNING IS MAKING YOU FAT
3) MOST BACK PAIN CAN BE CURED WITHIN 30 MINS
4) EATING CARBS HELPS YOU BURN BODY FAT
5) LIFTING WEIGHTS WILL BUILD THE PERFECT FEMALE BODY
I guarantee you disagree with at least one of the above
SO let’s dig in!
1) EATING MORE FOOD WILL MAKE YOU LOSE BODY FAT
Most people I coach, when they first begin our programs, are under-eating
The idea (which is WRONG) is that eating less will cause you to burn fat, right?
‘Surely eating more will make me fat?’ << I hear this ALL the time
Allow me to explain….
Not eating enough calories causes the body to slow down it’s internal energy turnover…
…Also known as ‘the metabolism’….
If this slows down enough, it’s a signal for OTHER processes in the body to slow down
OR
Possibly switch off entirely.
One of the processes that gets turned off QUICK is fat burning.
Fat is ONLY burned when the body turns a fat cell into energy
So if your metabolism is slowing down, due to under-eating, and thus requiring LESS energy
Do you think the demand for fat to be turned into energy is higher or lower?
WAY lower!!!
In many people we train, they’ve been under-eating for SO long that it can take 4-6 weeks to build the metabolism back up to speed and begin a natural fat burning process.
We do this by getting our members to EAT more food
Which increases the speed of the metabolism
Which then requires more energy to fuel it
Which comes from FAT cells.
Make sense?
Eat more, speed up energy requirements and burn more body fat
This obviously comes from clean, whole foods like chicken, fish, steak, eggs, veggies, potatoes, rice etc.
Don’t think you can just stuff a pizza down your throat
The body knows what’s good for it!
Anyway, this took me a little longer than I expected to explain
